Cookie Policy
Last updated: 9 August 2026
This policy explains how Clarence Runners uses cookies and similar storage technologies on this website.
What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small files stored on your device by a website. Similar technologies, including browser local storage, can also store or access information on your device. We use them only as described below.
Our storage and analytics
The table below lists the storage technologies used by this site. We review this list when website services change.
| Name | Type and party | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
cr_cookie_consent | Browser local storage; Clarence Runners | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics, so we can respect your choice. | Until you clear site data or change your choice. |
cr_member_session | First-party session cookie; Clarence Runners | Protects the registration form from forged submissions and will keep signed-in members authenticated when login is enabled. | End of the browser session, or earlier when the session expires or the member logs out. |
_ga and _ga_<measurement-id> | Cookies; Google Analytics | Optional audience measurement, used to understand aggregate use of the website. | Up to two years, where analytics is enabled and you accept it. |
Essential storage
The consent-preference entry is used to remember your choice. The session cookie is strictly necessary to protect registration submissions and, when enabled, provide the secure sign-in service you request. Neither is used to track you across websites or build a marketing profile.
Optional analytics
Analytics is not essential to provide the website. We do not grant Google Analytics storage unless you actively choose “Accept analytics” in the cookie notice. Choosing “Reject analytics” leaves the site’s essential features available.
Changing your choice
You can change your choice at any time. Selecting the button below clears the saved preference and displays the cookie notice again.
Third parties
Google Analytics is the only optional third-party storage service currently described in this policy. Facebook posts and Page-uploaded photos are retrieved by our server and served through this website; they do not set Facebook cookies on your device. If we add embedded services, social-media tools or other third-party storage technologies, we will update this policy and obtain consent where required before enabling them.
Managing storage through your browser
You can also delete or block cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Doing so may cause the cookie notice to appear again. Blocking all storage may affect some website features.
